Improve your Karma at Food for Me
Monday, 21 November 2011 10:37

We know there's a great sense of community at Food for Me. It's what we love most about being there (coffee and food are great fringe benefits too!). And we also know the importance of favours - like helping out a local community group or school in their fundraisers. But this effort shows the value of doing someone else a favour. In the US, Victor Giesbrecht, 61, stopped to change a tyre for stranded motorist Sara Berg, near Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Further down the interstate he had a heart attack but Ms Berg stopped and saved his life by performing CPR until paramedics arrived.

Now that's some serious return on the Karma-scale! And if you'd like to improve your Karma-scale this week, bring a friend down to Food for Me for lunch, buy them a coffee or ask about ourt gift vouchers. Who knows where it may lead to!

PS - we also have an ongoing gift for any gardening friends of Food for Me. If you'd like to use our coffee grinds to enrich your garden compost, fertilise plants and protect them from pests, drop us a line. We can provide you with an ongoing supply. Here's a few ideas on how coffee grinds can be used in the garden.
