You've been given a 2nd chance
Monday, 11 July 2011 10:16

We heard last week that Melbourne radio man Derryn Hinch had a successful liver transplant. He's been given a 2nd chance. It raises the question -

what would you do if you were given a 2nd chance at life? For Derryn we'd suggest maybe doing something about that beard for a start...

Where would you go that you haven't had the chance to? Where would you eat? What dishes would you try to make yourself when you came back home again? And what would you do with the exotic (read gaudy) clothes that seemed like a 'good idea' at the time?

Leave us your thoughts below and you're in the running to win breakfast at Food for Me

  1. My mum was diagnosed with cancer of the uterus and was given 1 year to live she went through horrible chemo & radio treatment which made her sicker only had 1-2 days a week she felt ok, this killed me she went of treatment preferring quality instead of quantity of life. She is now in remission 2 years down the track & I cherish every moment I have with her...both of us have been given 2nd chance of life..Thank you FFM she loves your food.

  2. Indeed a nice post and I really like reading catering stuff on the web. You have beautifully explained the importance and updated news on the catering industry. Keep up the nice posting as I have subscribed to your blog.
  3. I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in October 2009. After 5 months of chemotherapy I was a year free of cancer on the 16th March 2011. Every day I feel cherished to have been given a second chance. My family and friends are the most important part of my life and my health. I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease at the end of March 2011. I am so happy places like Food for Me supports this diet and makes it easy and yummy for people like me. Second chances are a gift that should be cherished and not taken for granted.

  4. Hello FFM peeps.

Well I have been given a 2nd chance at life. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 I am still here and thriving. I realised life was too short to be unhappy so I moved on as a single parent with my gorgeous girl Georgie, I have a lovely house and great friends and am now trying to save like mad to visit a place I have wanted to go to for years, Italy. I will make it there for my 50th which is in 4 years time. Maybe you can join me. Bye for now Helen;-)
