But sometimes patience doesn't cut it.

Just look at the efforts of the San Diego police. They surrounded a car for two hours on a highway with guns drawn only to discover it was empty. They had believed a robbery suspect was inside. Even though news-helicopter video showed the car empty, police kept traffic at a standstill. Oops! Not happy Jan!
